More about SculpSure
The newest innovation in body sculpting technology to help patients get rid of stubborn body fat is FDA-approved, completely non-surgical, and non-invasive; leaving you with a healthier looking body and little to no downtime. Using laser based treatments problem areas can be eliminated with just one 25 minute treatment and works well for both men and women and a variety of different body types.
What is SculpSure?
Using a hands-free heat laser belt and wavelengths we eliminate the fat cells in the abdomen, back, flanks, and thighs. With our process we can target multiple areas at once to lessen procedure time and give you a more sculpted look that you’ll love. Our procedure is best suited for people with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or less and is not recommended as a weight loss solution or for people with obesity.
How does the procedure work?
Depending on the licensing rules in your state a licensed practitioner could be a doctor, physician’s assistant, nurse, or aesthetician. In many cases the day you meet the practitioner will be the same day of your procedure. Before they begin you’ll sit down to discuss what problem areas you’d like to treat, what your goals are, your medical history and what medications you take. To lessen the chance of bruising your practitioner may tell you to avoid ibuprofen and other pain killers, as well as blood thinners a few days before the procedure.
When you are ready for your appointment you’ll be seated in a comfortable, reclined position and your SculpSure practitioner will mark the areas you’d like to treat. The SculpSure device will then be wrapped around you like a belt and the laser will begin “melting” the fat away. Our system uses a 1060-nanometer diode laser that will reach 107.6℉ and 116.6℉, hot enough to kill the fat cells but not harm the other tissue.
During the 25 minute procedure the device will alternate between cooling effects and a heat laser, you’ll be able to relax, read or nap while the process takes place. In the 12 weeks following your appointment your body will naturally flush out the eliminated fat cells. If further treatments are needed you’ll be able to do them 6-12 weeks after the first one is complete.
Are there Risks or Side Effects?
During the treatment you may experience some minor pinching or tingling sensation but no anesthesia is needed. Very few serious side effects have been reported but research is ongoing into the effects of SculpSure on the body.
Once your treatment is complete you may experience some soreness and stiffness or minor bruising. Many practitioners will recommend you do massage for the treated areas for the next few weeks to help with the tenderness.
What’s the Recovery Process?
Since the SculpSure treatment only lasts 25 minutes and is non-invasive you could have a treatment during your lunch break and return to work the same day. Depending on how your body metabolizes the eliminated fat cells you could begin to notice fat reduction in as little as 6 weeks after your first treatment.
Clinical data has shown that one session results in about a 24 percent reduction in fat, with full results showing in about 12 weeks after the initial treatment. Since our procedure actually destroys the fat cells with the laser the cells will not regenerate, but you should still maintain the desired fat reduction through diet and exercise.
