Introduction
Well-defined, proportional facial features, including cheeks, chin, neck, and ears, are important aspects of an attractive appearance. Whether you want to improve on nature or restore a more youthful profile, there are a number of safe, minimally invasive procedures that can be performed individually, or in conjunction with other facial procedures. A frequent procedure combination in midlife is eye and/or brow lift with jaw and neck contouring, addressing two of the most common signs of aging at the same time.
Enhancing a recessed or "weak" chin can bring immediate balance to a face. This is easily achieved by inserting an implant through a small incision under the chin. Better definition of the jaw and neckline is possible with small volume liposuction. For protruding ears, a simple procedure can bring them into a more pleasing position.
Restoring youthful volume and contour to the cheeks is possible in a number of ways, using implants, fat transfer, or injectable fillers, depending upon individual requirements and the desired result. Deep vertical lines between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), or mouth and chin (marionette lines) can be filled and smoothed with fat or injectable fillers, and thin lips can be subtly enhanced. Ask Dr. Martin to discuss how you might achieve a more balanced, harmonious profile through one or more of these contouring techniques.

Restylane and Juvederm
As we age, fine lines and wrinkles begin to develop on our faces. Aging also causes unwanted thinning of the upper and lower lips, general loss of youthful facial fat, downturn of the corners of the mouth, deepening of the nasolabial folds, and the development of marionette lines from mouth to chin.

Fat Transfer
One of the most exciting procedures that has become popular over the last decade is fat transfer. This is a technique where fat is taken from somewhere on the body and placed into the face. For women, the fat is usually harvested from the abdomen or hips, and in men, from the love handles.

Dysport and Botox
By the time we are six months old, it is possible to see where the deep lines in our faces will form later in life. We are influenced from birth by the facial expressions and habits of those closest to us. As we age, we see the concerned looks or crinkly smiles of our loved ones forming in our own faces.
